Middlesex County Home Sale Prices Higher in Q2

Middlesex County MA - Single-family home sales prices were higher in the second quarter of 2014 than for Q2 2013. However, there were fewer homes for sale which resulted in 7.4% drop in the number of homes sold. Fewer homes resulted in more urgency among home buyers and the average number of days on the market was 56; 13.8% less than the previous year.


Of course, all real estate is local and counties are comprised of several towns and prices vary from town to town. Here are the median prices for single-family houses in some of the towns west of Boston:

Sudbury: $685,000; up 6.7%
Wayland: $694,500; up 11.7%
Concord: $1,000,000; up 6.2%
Maynard: $342,500; up %
Stow: $476,450; up 6.7%
Lincoln: $1,186,000; up 2.2%
Acton: $591.000; up 7%
