Wayland Housing Update - Home Sales Continue to Increase

The number of homes sold in Wayland increased by 41%
The number of single-family homes sold in Wayland during June was 4.5% higher than in June 2011; and the median sale price was lower by 15.9%.

The number of homes sold in Wayland during the first six months of 2012 was 41.9% over the same period in 2011. The median sale price was also up but only by 2.7%. Inventory levels are lower, reducing the number of months’ supply to 6.9 months.
Overall, the market is improving and low interest rates increase your purchasing power substantially. The diference of 1 or 2 percent can save you thousands of dollars per year and tens of thousands over the life of the mortgage. Even if you sell for less than you would like, as long as you're buying another home, the numbers will still work in your favor.
